About Barry

Hi there, I’m Barry.

A few years ago, I left university with a mountain of debt, a huge overdraft, maxed out credit cards and no job. Kind of ironic for someone who had just got a first-class degree in accounting and finance.

But I knew just what to do, I’ve always had a strong sense of financial responsibility (yes, even despite the credit card debt, student loan debt and overdraft!), and I had the tools to turn everything around and get back on top. Within two years I cleared my overdraft, got my credit cards under control and am making a significant dent in my student loan repayments.

It isn’t hard to manage personal finance well. The only hard part about it is breaking bad habits and starting good habits. My parents were always drilling the value of money into me from a very early age and they provided a solid foundation for my personal finance management.

Now, I’ve created this blog to help you do the same, and give you that same foundation that I had, paving the way for success and giving you the tools to take control of your own personal finance. This blog will give you the best tips on how to save, how to take advantage of the financial market and how to end the paycheck to paycheck cycle.

It may seem impossible, but it’s really not. Keep up to date and begin your journey to financial stability.
